A major focus of the Arts and Health strategy at Orange Health Service is to provide opportunities for meaningful engagement with high quality artworks. The underlying philosophy is that original art should be available to anyone and everyone, especially for those in our community who are unwell. Art can also help to uplift staff, caregivers and families.

In an Australian-first, Orange Regional Gallery is providing extensive access to its permanent collection of over 500 artworks through installations at Orange Health Service. This extensive loan also includes works from the Chroma Collection and the renowned Kedumba Collection of Australian Drawings.

Our visual arts programs also include an Artist in Residence program as well as a major installation of paintings by ten regional artists in the General Hospital cafeteria.
